"This song is the one that really pisses your parents off. I wrote this song on Christmas Eve, because I was way behind on wrapping presents, and rather that take care of the problem, I picked up a guitar and wrote a fucked up song about it. I finished wrapping them at about three in the morning."
Story of a Lonely Guy
"Another song about heartache. I remember always feeling like the world might be a little different if everybody wasn't such a bitch and said what they wanted to people they like. The problem is, people are too scared of rejection. How many times have you seen somebody somewhere, but didn't say a thing. Next time, fuck it, if you like someone, say somethn'. The worst that could happen is they'll smile and say thanks or no thanks. -note- the little "duh da duhs" are inspired from listening to David Bowie in the skateboard film.

It was the best. We loved it. We used to watch bands play there every weekend. Blink-182 began in this club. This song is about those days. Soma isn't around anymore. What's My Age Again?:
It's so cliche, but the reason Mark wrote that song is because Mark is 27, and he's usually rolling around on the floor naked and farting or something in front of a girl, and he'll be laughing. He'll think it's so funny. And she'll be like, "How old are you?" And that's totally why he wrote the song. (Explained by Tom)
Adam's Song
The story behind that is Mark read a letter someone sent him as an email, that a kid wrote before he committed suicide to his parents. We kind of got together and wrote this sad, slow song. It came out sadder than we ever thought it would, which is good too. Any song that moves you is good. Some people listen to it and go 'Wow, that's a real bum-out of a song.' But it's one of those things, a story of a kid not being happy in his life, crossed with us being really lonely on tour. At the end of it there's a better way out, there are better things to do than kill yourself.

Mark's first band was called "the Pier 69". Then he was in "Of All Things" until he moved to San Diego.
Mark wore sneakers at his wedding.
Mark wrote "Going away to college" on valentines day after watching Can't Hardly Wait.

In the scene of the video 'All the Small Things' where Mark is doing his Ricky Martin imitation and getting wax poured on his chest, if you look in the background you'll see a couple making out. It's Tom and his girlfriend, Jen.
In the credits from 'American Pie' it says 'Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Scott Raynor'. Its actually Travis Barker in the movie, not Scott.
On the inside of the back cover of Enema of the State, if you look very carefully on the left side of the giant eye, you will see the words "Viking Wizard Eyes, Wizard Full of Lies" in white print. This is the original title that Blink 182 had for Enema of the State.
The "Josie" video, featuring Alyssa Milano, is actually the second video blink 182 shot for the song. In the orginal video, the band was to be practicing in basement. When one of them accidentally hits a pipe with his guitar causing a significant leak. The basement fills with water, but the band plays on. At the end, the band is completely under water.
Manager Rick DeVoe can be seen at the end of "All The Small Things" as the naked man in the crowd.
